Kane Constructions were awarded this project in early January 2014. This project consisted of the construction of a new two-storey classroom building for Year 7 students at Chancellor State College.
The building consisted of an amenities area, 11 classrooms, outdoor learning areas, cleaners rooms, storage room, staff room, lift, covered walkways, under-croft (future classroom) areas and landscaping.
The intent of the design is to remain in keeping with the existing buildings throughout the school grounds. With a construction programme of approximately 5 months, the project was completed 2 weeks early.
The overall project was a great success. All stakeholders of the project were impressed with the project outcome.
