Following a competitive tender process, Kane Constructions was awarded the $24M contract to deliver the new Queanbeyan Police Station for the NSW Police Force.
Kane has delivered the state-of-the-art and fit-for-purpose police station, with basement car parking and three above-ground levels, and a new substation.
The project was delivered adjacent to the fully operational Queanbeyan Courthouse and Queanbeyan Museum, requiring Kane to implement its highly regarded business continuity and stakeholder management skills to ensure neighbouring stakeholders were not affected by the works on-site.
Following handover and NSW Police 'Go Live', the project scope included the removal of the existing fitout of the temporary Police Station at Morisset House in line with the end of lease 'Make Good' requirements for the tenancies and council-owned car park.
The project was delivered in 2021.
