The Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Building (AIB) has announced the AIB Professional Excellence in Building Awards for 2016.
More than 23 building and construction professionals have been recognised at this year’s awards which Kane attended on Friday, 3 June, 2016.
These awards are unique as they are the only Australian awards that recognise the individuals' professional excellence in the building and construction process as opposed to the project or completed structure.
“These awards are the ultimate personal achievement for a professional builder. They recognise the contribution and leadership shown by individuals to the successful completion of a construction project, reinforcing the fact that the success of any building firm can be attributed to those responsible for construction projects”, said Norman Faifer FAIB, AIB’s National President.
Kane was presented with four AIB VIC Chapter Awards on the night:
Building Professional of the Year | David Purcell | Geelong Library & Heritage Centre
Professional Excellence Commercial Construction $10M - $50M | David Purcell | Geelong Library & Heritage Centre
Certificate of High Commendation Research Development & Technology | Tim Fowler | MPavilion 2015
Certificate of High Commendation Commercial Construction $10M - $50M | Marco Bonadio | Aquanation
Recipients of Professional Excellence Awards within the AIB VIC Chapter will go forward to the National Awards that will be held in Melbourne on Saturday, 3 September, 2016.
