Kane Constructions last week executed a contract with the Department of Defence and immediately started work on site on Enhanced Land Force (ELF) Stage 1 - Trainee Rehabilitation Wing Works, Holsworthy Barracks, NSW.
The award of this $21m contract is further recognition of Kane's capability and capacity to deliver complex technical projects in secure operational facilities. Kane is currently delivering the following projects for Department of Defence:
- ELF Stage 1 RAAF Richmond NSW ($11m)
- ELF Stage 1 School of Armour and School of Artillery, Puckapunyal VIC ($28m)
- Special Operations Logistics Squadron (SOLS) at Holsworthy NSW ($4m)
- Explosives Ordinance Storage Facility, Fort Direction TAS ($4m)
- Army Logistics Training Centre (ALTC) South Bandiana VIC ($7m)
- Puckapunyal Military Area Armoury VIC ($1m)
- Test Road Monageeta VIC ($2m)
- RMAF Butterworth Rationalisation, Malaysia ($28m)
- West Head Gunnery Range Redevelopment VIC ($12m) - completed this month
ELF Stage 1 Holsworthy is due for completion in December 2010 and the staged project involves the following elements:
Stage 1: Relocation of 1 Health Support Battalion (1HSB)
Stage 2: New Buildings Extensions Living In Accommodation (LIA)
- HQ and Common Buildings
- Physiotherapy Wing & Extension
- Mess Building Extension
- Associated hard stand and car parking
Stage 3: Refurbishment of RAP/OPB Areas in 1HSB
Stage 4: Removal of Temporary Buildings
