Sydney really turned on the sunshine on Wednesday 9th September for the official opening of the new Australian Museum Crystal Hall.
Kane were proud to attend the event along-side Sydney’s arts community. With the main construction elements and glazing all but complete and the new entry and hall filled with hundreds of guests and members of the media, the client welcomed the Ancestral owners by acknowledging the Gadigal people of the Eora nation and paid respects to their Elders both past and present, before introducing the NSW Premier and his deputy.
Both the Architect (Rachel Neeson) and the CEO of the Australian Museum mention Kane in a glowing review of great communication, openness and collaboration.
The $5 million Lump Sum project scope includes a new glass façade and entry walkway, with 'Crystal Hall' function room to William Street side of the Australian Museum. Works included demolition, civil, structures, entry ramp, glass facade and miscellaneous fit out works.
