Hospital caregivers showed off their musical talents as they celebrated 10 years under the St John of God banner on the 20th December 2015.
The launch of a music video stared both Kane and St John of God staff at the currently under construction St John of God Bendigo Hospital.
Hospital staff, led by music therapist Astrid Notarangelo, wrote, composed and produced a song and video clip titles Heart of Gold. Ms Notarangelo said it showed how much can be such a positive force in a hospital situation.
“Hospital caregivers were consulted at every stage and I think it highlights music therapy as a way of empowering people,” she said.
“It was really about involving everyone (at the hospital) and getting their input.”
Hospital staff (or caregivers) used their lunch breaks to write the lyrics. It was really about involving everyone (at the hospital) and getting their input.
