Kane Constructions was today awarded the contract to build the new Numerkah Hospital in regional Victoria.
Upon completion, the $18 million facility will include 16 multi-day beds, six same-day treatment spaces, a theatre, urgent care and imaging service. It will also have a two-chair dental service.
The devastating 2012 floods inundated the old Numurkah hospital, causing severe damage that left the buildings unusable.
The new hospital has been designed by Group GSA WMIA with whom Kane delivered the Dandenong Hospital Mental Health Facility.
Montlaur are the project manager and superintendsant.
Works will commence on site month.
