Continuing our success of delivering outstanding results for our clients, Kane Constructions has received the Excellence in Construction Award (up to $10m) for the Ingleburn Library and Community Centre in Sydney.
The award was presented at the Master Builder's Association of NSW annual awards ceremony held on Saturday 31 October at Darling Harbour, Sydney.
The project incorporated construction of a new two level library with a 'twisted saddle' shaped roof supported by angled dancing columns, extensive curved metal clad walls and glazing, as well as a single level community centre incorporating the historic art school. The scope also involved extensive external works.
With many design and construction difficulties to overcome, the construction team worked tirelessly to produce an outstanding, award winning result. The facility was opened to the public in March 2009 and has been openly embraced by the local community of Ingleburn, Sydney.
