Kane’s commitment to working with various charities continues in the Queensland office, where we recently undertook a refurbishment to an existing Queensland style house at Windsor.
The four bedroom house at Windsor is owned by the Youth Emergency Services Organisation (“YES”) and was in desperate need of an upgrade to bring it up to a liveable standard. In conjunction with the Property Industry Foundation (“PIF”), Kane undertook the refurbishment. Over a course of 3 weekends, both Kane team members and the PIF YES Project Team got to work with a variety of tasks including demolition of existing walls, construction of new walls, installation of new kitchen and bedroom joinery, internal painting, refurbishment of existing bathrooms, new rear deck and landscaping around the property.
The outcome is a fresh, newly refurbished house ready for occupation by those who young people in need of accommodation. A great effort by all involved.
