Kane Constructions has been a national sponsor of the Oxfam Trailwalker in Australia since 2003.
Last weekend Kane Constructions Team 1 and Kane Space Cadets participated in the Melbourne Oxfam Trailwalker.
Team 1 achieved a time of 21.34 hours and Space Cadets achieved a time of 25 hours.
Together, Kane Constructions Team 1 and Kane Space Cadets have raised over $21,000 for Oxfam to help overcome poverty and injustice around the world.
A massive thank you to the Kane volunteers and support crew that assist each year in ensuring that our teams get through to the finish line.
Both teams found it difficult to leave Checkpoint 7 Millgrove due to the fantastic setup by the support crew (see second image).
2017 marks the seventh Oxfam walk for Tony Isaacson, achieving a personal best this year.
The Kane Directors hope to be completing the Hong Kong Oxfam in November this year (there is a ballot). Oxfam Trailwalker is one of the largest fundraising sports events in Hong Kong. Since 1986, more than 98,000 participants have raised over HK$536 million to support Oxfam’s various poverty alleviation and emergency relief projects in Africa and Asia, including Hong Kong and mainland China.
