Kane Constructions is pleased to announce that we have been appointed by Queensland University of Technology as building contractor for the $8.5m Library Upgrade at their Kelvin Grove Campus in Brisbane.
Works are to commence immediately with completion programmed for the end of December, 2010.
The project consists of a staged refurbishment of the 6-level library building including demolition, new fitout and the upgrade of all services infrastructure, including new plant rooms. External works include façade upgrades and new plaza spaces.
The project follows the award winning collaboration of QUT and Kane for the restoration and redevelopment of Old Government House at the Gardens Point Campus completed in 2009 (refer to Projects > Completed Projects > Heritage+Refurbishment).
These projects demonstrate both Kane’s capability in delivering technically complex tertiary and research facilities at operational campuses and our consistent cost competitiveness and uncompromising focus on service and building relationships.
