Construction is well underway at Springfield on the new commercial tower which will house GE’s new Headquarters.
The top floor slab of concrete has been laid, and a celebratory “topping out BBQ” was held on Friday 13 June with clients & consultants to celebrate the milestone. Many of the team climbed to the rooftop to inspect the construction to date, noting the amazing views to be had across the nearby Robelle Domain Parkland.
The tower, approx. 14,000m2, is on track to complete construction in December 2014, with the fitout to take place following that. GE will move into the building in early 2015.
The building is targeting 5 Star GreenStar and 4½ Star NABERS.
