Kane Constructions has been appointed as design and construct contractor for the $66 million Arts West Redevelopment at University of Melbourne.
The Arts West Redevelopment Project is the Faculty of Arts’ most significant infrastructure project in recent years and will enable the creation of new and dynamic teaching and learning spaces for staff and students.
The project scope includes the rebuild of the east-west wing from Level 1 to provide state of the art teaching & learning and staff workspaces. A new atrium space will enclose Professor’s Court, complimented by increased landscaping, cloisters and colonnades. The north-south wing will also undergo a light refurbishment from Level 4 and above.
Works have commenced with the project due for completion in 2016.
