Construction of the Vortex Centre at the Gippsland Water Factory is fast nearing completion.
The unique building will become an interpretive centre and forms part of the $250m Gippsland Water Factory. The Vortex Centre will play a key part of the overall education program on water conservation and resource management.
Design of the Vortex Centre has drawn on concepts from similar facilities in other countries and will give visitors a better understanding of the inner workings of the Gippsland Water Factory, showcasing the technology used in the treatment process.
Using interactive displays, visitors will be able to see how recycled water is produced through the treatment process and learn more about how water is managed in the Gippsland region. School visits to the Vortex Centre will also be welcomed.
