Kane Constructions has recently been awarded a contract to extend and upgrade the existing Emergency Department at Westmead Hospital - the largest hospital in Western Sydney.
This $3.5 million project involves a two level extension and a staged refurbishment of the Emergency and Acute Resuscitation wards. Procured through a competitive lump sum tender, the project will commence in March 2012.
The site is extremely challenging with regard to access for construction. Central to the success of the Kane bid was our previous history and detailed knowledge of the hospital operations.
Kane Constructions has quickly become 'Builder of Choice’ at Westmead, with this being our third project currently under construction at the campus.
