Kane Constructions Queensland has been awarded the Design & Construct contract to deliver the Logan Hospital Mental Health Decision Unit.
The project scope involves the redevelopment of the central courtyard within the Logan Hospital Emergency Department - Building 3, to provide a new assessment/waiting area for patients who require mental health assessment and management for a period of up to 24 hours.
The new build will attach to the existing building and will connect to existing services and infrastructure.
The new build will include the addition of a rooftop garden linking into the existing Building 3.
This is an important initiative for Logan Hospital as it is located in one of the largest growth corridors in demand for health services.
This will mark the 15th project Kane Queensland has delivered with Metro South Health.
