The brand new two storey open deck car park in the heart of Cabramatta’s central business district was officially opened on Monday 11 October.
The new car park features a contemporary façade, with tasteful coloured panels and low maintenance planters adding to the vibrancy of the Cabramatta town centre.
The new 219 space car park connects to the existing Dutton Plaza multi-deck car park with access to a new lift and pedestrian connection.
New features include additional bicycle and motorcycle parking, bringing the total number of parking spaces in the Dutton Lane precinct to 992.
Sustainability initiatives include extensive cycle parking, rainwater harvesting, and a roof mounted photovoltaic installation to power electric car charging stations.
Improvements to the information signs and wayfinding signs have been upgraded, including digital signage at the front of the parking facility displaying the number of spaces available.
“It has been a pleasure working with the Fairfield City Council team on yet another community transforming project. Congratulations to the project team and all stakeholders on the safe and successful completion of Hughes Street.” Brett Moore, NSW General Manager, Kane Constructions.
