Health Infrastructure has awarded Kane Constructions the Sydney Ambulance Metropolitan Infrastructure Strategy Central Ambulance Station located on Parramatta Road, Forest Lodge.
The ambulance station sits at the heart of the Central Sydney Paramedic Response Network cluster and is where paramedics start and end their shift.
The new station, part of a $184 million investment will house ambulance operations, logistics, staff amenities and will be the home to 30 ambulance vehicles and three ambulance motorcycles serving the metropolitan Sydney communities.
The station is a major investment in local paramedic services. This new operating model will ensure NSW Ambulance paramedics are strategically placed to meet the emergency medical needs of metropolitan Sydney communities now and into the future.
Kane has delivered six Ambulance stations for Health Infrastructure, with the Central Sydney Ambulance Station the largest to date.
Construction of the station will commence in October 2021 and is expected to be delivered by 2023.
