Two projects delivered by Kane Constructions have been shortlisted for the 2021 NSW Architecture Awards.
Australian Museum Project Discover by Cox Architecture with Neeson Murcutt and Neille in two categories: Public Architecture and Heritage, whilst The Athenaeum Wenona by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects has been shortlisted for Educational Architecture.
Laura Cockburn, president of the NSW Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, said the program had this year attracted a wide range of impressive entries.
“Architecture’s role in creating spaces that reflect and celebrate community and build strength and resilience into the future has been demonstrated over the course of the past year,” she said. “In a time of so much change and disruption to daily life, the creativity and quality of design across NSW is a credit to our industry colleagues and the collaborative efforts that have brought each project to life.”
We wish the teams at Cox Architecture, Neeson Murcutt and Neille, and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects the best of luck.
Winners will be announced via a virtual live stream event on Friday 2 July and will progress to be considered by the National Jury for the National Architecture Awards later this year.
