On Thursday afternoon we were pleased to host our client Iglu to help celebrate a major project milestone - the topping out of the structure at Iglu Flagstaff.
A ‘Welcome to Country’ and smoking ceremony was undertaken by Indigenous elder Uncle Ringo to bless the project and future occupants.
In keeping with tradition, a tree was craned to the roof.
It was wonderful to celebrate in person with key team members from Point Polaris, Bates Smart, TTW and our structure subcontractor, Caelli Constructions.
Jamie Rigg, Project Manager, Kane Constructions said:
“We are delighted to have achieved this important milestone on our second project with Iglu. Our team is pushing hard towards project completion, with a current focus on the façade and internal fit-out. It’s been a pleasure working with Iglu and the consultant team to deliver this exciting project.”
Despite the challenges we have all experienced, the student accommodation tower is well on track for completion in 2022.
