After two years of lockdown, the famous City2Surf event was back, returning to the streets of the Emerald City. The anticipation was palpable with the Kane Constructions Sydney runners keen to reap the rewards of their winter training efforts. The 14km course stretches from the CBD to the glistering sands of the iconic Bondi Beach.
Sydney turned it on for the tens of thousands taking on the world’s largest fun run from the city to the sun-drenched Bondi Beach. Sunday marked the 50th time the race has taken place.
The starter’s gun set the Kane team free to pursue personal challenges, tick off a bucket list item, chase personal bests, and of course tackle Heartbreak Hill with grim determination.
Armed with willing legs, some old-fashioned grit and a thirst to get to Bondi Trattoria for a post-effort celebration, the team packed a bag full of commitment to wellness and work-life balance with some healthy outdoor activity.
The event has raised over $2 million so far for over 305 charities in need.
Well done to the Kane team for participating in this rewarding event!
