Over 34,000 registered participants hit the pavement on Sunday to compete in a record-breaking edition of the Melbourne Marathon.
The Kane Constructions and arete Australia team comprised 17 total runners. Two completed the full marathon at an enormous distance of 42.195km’s, 10 completed the half marathon at 21.1km’s, and four completed the 10km run.
The weather was pure magic with superb conditions for the team. Clear blue skies, a crisp morning, and the sun out.
Starting from Batman Avenue, the team raced alongside marathon legends, circling around some of the city’s most loved landmarks and crossing the finish line at the iconic MCG to cheers from supporters, family and friends.
This was an incredible event for individuals to physically test themselves, compete against their peers and set new personal bests.
