Kane Constructions is thrilled to have last night received the Master Builders Australia, Federal Safety Commissioners: National Excellence in Workplace Health and Safety award, for our Iglu Russell Street Student Accommodation project!
The safety of our workers and the community and driving a positive safety culture is our highest priority, with this in mind we are very honoured and proud to win this award.
The project involved the construction of a 28-storey, 374-bed student accommodation facility with a total site area of 467sq m.
Nestled in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD there are many challenges for our team - from high vehicular and pedestrian traffic to narrow streets, commercial businesses, people’s homes and external construction works within close proximity to the site.
This award wouldn't have been possible without the relentless dedication of our incredible project team, our valued subcontractors, and the trust and support of the community.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also reflect on the responsibility we hold for safety excellence across all our projects.
Thank you to everyone who has played a part in making the Iglu Russell Street Student Accommodation project a showcase project for safety, precision, and collaboration.
