Kane Constructions has been a national partner of Oxfam Trailwalker for 20 years and supports the mantra that “all lives are equal and no-one should live in poverty”.
Members of the Kane New South Wales team were pleased to continue the tradition and volunteer their services on Friday 25th August. Led by General Manager Brett Moore, the team mobilised pre-sunrise to manage vehicle traffic, car parking, walkers and support crew.
Oxfam’s “Greatest Adventure You’ll Ever Share” is an epic journey through some of Australia’s lushest bushland, an inspiring team challenge that brings people together. Participants can take on the entire 100km trail or opt for 55km or 27km course over a 40-hour period. The Sydney event takes participants through the ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, a winding trail that hosts spectacular scenery and picturesque views.
This year participants raised over $1.3 million. Our very own Joint Managing Director Tristan Forster and his team completed the 100km trek in just over 23 hours, placing 10th out of over 250.
Kane is proud to continue to support Oxfam in their support and representation of those affected by marginalisation and injustice. We look forward to continuing our long-standing partnership in 2024.
