Kane Constructions achieved an outstanding result on Saturday evening, winning two awards at the 2024 NSW Master Builders Association Excellence in Construction Awards.
Kane was honoured with wins for the Tumbalong Green Stage Upgrade project in the categories of Public Buildings ($10M–$25M) and Best Innovative Use of Timber.
The Tumbalong Green Stage, located at the heart of Darling Harbour on Sydney’s CBD fringe, provides a versatile space for community events and entertainment.
In partnership with Darling Harbour Live and designed by Hassell Architects, Kane delivered the upgrade featuring the construction of a steel and laminated glulam timber structure, a membrane roof, a raised performance stage, and integrated stage lighting and AV equipment.
This newly transformed stage enhances the harbourside precinct, offering a vibrant hub for concerts, festivals, performances, exhibitions, and sporting events.
