Kane Constructions has transformed northern Geelong with the delivery of a cutting-edge aquatic and community facility.
Engaged by the City of Greater Geelong under a Lump Sum contract in January 2022, this $62 million venture is a triumph of local and federal collaboration, funded by the City of Greater Geelong, the Victorian government, and the federal government.
Replacing the outdated Waterworld and Centenary Hall, this modern hub promotes health and wellness through its extensive features, including a lap pool, water play area, warm water pool, and more. Notably, the facility boasts a 5 Star certification under the Green Star Design & As-Built v1.2 rating tool, exemplifying Australian design excellence.
The project not only revitalised the area but also created over 1,000 jobs during construction, with many contracts awarded to local Geelong companies. Looking forward, the facility is set to generate around 250 jobs, offering diverse employment opportunities.
With this state-of-the-art development, Geelong’s community now enjoys a vibrant, sustainable space designed for the future.
