On Sunday, 6th October, four dedicated members of Kane Constructions Victorian team, Callum Foat, Andy Win, Iain Colliver, and Tom Cui, took on the challenge of the 100km United Energy Around the Bay bike ride. The event, one of Australia’s largest and most iconic cycling festivals, brought together thousands of cyclists to raise funds for Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision.
Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision is a vital charity organisation dedicated to funding research for better diagnosis and treatments of bone marrow failure syndromes, while also providing essential support to patients and their families. By participating in this event, the Kane team helped to contribute to this meaningful cause, making a positive impact both on and off the road.
The 100km route, which started at 6:45am from Albert Park, offered a blend of scenic beauty and physical challenge. The riders crossed the iconic West Gate Bridge, with panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay and Melbourne’s skyline, before heading along Beach Road to Mordialloc and back. With an elevation gain of 751m, it tested the stamina and endurance of the team. However, the stunning coastal vistas and the camaraderie of thousands of riders made it an unforgettable experience.
Congratulations to Callum, Andy, Iain, and Tom for representing Kane and making a difference through your participation!
