Chisholm TAFE Stage 2 officially opens in Frankston

13th March, 2025

Kane Constructions is proud to mark the official opening of Chisholm TAFE’s Stage 2 Building C at Frankston, a major milestone in Victoria’s education landscape.

The Victorian Minister for Skills and TAFE, Gayle Tierney, and Federal Minister for Skills and Training, Andrew Giles, attended the event to officially open the new 9,600 square metre, three-level vocational training facility.

Designed to support high-demand industries including Community Services, Technology and Cyber Security, the new facility delivers cutting-edge learning spaces equipped with the latest technology. The project also introduces a dynamic outdoor precinct that strengthens campus life and fosters greater connection across the Chisholm community.

The new building combines advanced functionality with contemporary architectural design, reflecting the future-focused approach to vocational education. Kane worked in close collaboration with TSA Riley, Gray Puksand, Slattery, Northrop, AECOM and a wide range of skilled trades to bring the project to life.

A standout moment from the project was the involvement of our Senior Site Manager, Matthew Hawkins, who completed his apprenticeship at Chisholm TAFE Frankston in 2006. Leading the site team on this development 16 years later marked a meaningful full-circle moment and reinforced the long-term value of quality trade education.

Kane is proud to have contributed to this significant development and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have for students, educators and the wider community in Frankston.
