Kane Constructions NSW has been appointment to deliver the $61 million Birrong Boys High School and Birrong Girls High School, major upgrade project.
In partnership with project managers Turner & Townsend, School Infrastructure NSW and Tanner Kibble Denton Architects, the newly designed schools will deliver facilities to support the learning needs of the local community.
The project scope includes:
- Birrong Boys HS (BBHS):
- Demolition of Blocks J & K, existing services, and tree removal with associated remedial works
- Services infrastructure works
- Construction of new three storey teaching facility
- Refurbishment and extension of existing hall and addition of a new COLA
- Refurbishment of Block A and Block D to Student Support Unit (SSU)
- Landscaping works
Birrong Girls HS (BGHS):
- Demolition of Block A, existing services, and tree removal with associated remedial works
- Services infrastructure works including new substation
- Construction of new three storey teaching facility, hall, and COLA
- Refurbishment of existing Block B and Block H
- Landscaping works
The project is due to reach Practical Completion in mid-2025.
