Kane Constructions was awarded the Lump Sum contract to successfully deliver the Chisholm TAFE Frankston Redevelopment (FCRP) Stage 2 - Early Works package.
This early works phase encompassed several critical tasks essential to preparing the site for the larger redevelopment. The scope included the removal of hazardous materials from the site, the demolition of two key structures, Building C and Building E, and the isolation and removal of existing services. Additionally, substantial preparation of the sub-grade was undertaken to ensure the site was ready for the subsequent main works project.
Given the complexity of working with hazardous materials and the precise coordination required to demolish occupied structures within a busy campus, the project demanded careful planning and strict adherence to safety protocols. Throughout the project, Kane Constructions maintained a strong focus on minimising disruption to campus operations while efficiently managing the complexities of the site.
The early works package was completed on schedule, achieving Practical Completion in December 2021, successfully laying the groundwork for the future stages of the Chisholm TAFE Frankston Redevelopment.
