Kane Constructions was engaged under a Lump Sum contract to deliver the Dawson Street Public Realm Upgrade in the second quarter of 2016.
The project scope included demolition, site preparation, earthworks, drainage works, services upgrades, lighting and electrical works, paving, tree management and all associated landscaping to create an open public space.
This project has been a significant part of transforming Sunshine into a safe, vibrant and legible environment that prioritises pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
Works required a high level of effective traffic and pedestrian management.
This project reached Practical Completion in October 2016.
