In April 2020, Kane Constructions delivered the Deakin University Waurn Ponds Stage 2 and Stage 3 Recladding project.
The project scope consisted of the full replacement of combustible cladding on six buildings at the Deakin University Waurn Ponds campus. Works involved the replacement of 5,500m2 of combustible cladding, exposure and removal of existing cladding and associated sub-framing, and replacing with new top hats, sarking, and insulation with MondoClad solid aluminium cladding.
Stage 2 delivered Building DD with Stage 3 delivering five additional buildings including 4 student accommodations.
Works were completed in a fully operational tertiary campus and delivered one week prior to the scheduled completion date.
