Kane Constructions delivered the Fairfield Showground Pavilion under a Design and Construct contract.
Fairfield City Council was focused on providing sporting and recreation facilities that encourage families and friends to come together and be active. This project saw Fairfield Showground redeveloped into a modern sporting and cultural hub for high-level sports, community, cultural festivals and major events.
Designed by CM+ in partnership with Fairfield City Council, the new three-storey grandstand includes a 1,000 seat grandstand, five private viewing boxes on Level 2, the Alan Young Room for spectators and private events on Level 1, kitchen and canteen facilities, a ticket booth and change rooms.
The pavilion is a contemporary design response to the adjacent Parkland Function Centre. Its design places itself as an important member in this developing precinct that aims to bring people together for celebration, shopping and sporting excellence.
The project commenced in early 2021 and was handed over in May 2022.
