Kane’s new Queensland office, located at 14 Fox Street Albion is a three storey office building inspired by leading environmental design initiatives and intelligent use of materials and limited space.
It is the enterprise and resourcefulness in design and construction that is truly reflective of the type of builders we are.
The office has been registered with the Green Building Council of Australia for a five star Green Star Office v3 Design Rating and has embraced key ESD principles including a mixed mode gas-fired VRV air conditioning system, integrated with a natural ventilation mode, rainwater harvesting for use in toilet flushing and irrigation, cement-reduced concrete, recycled timber, recycled steel, low VOC materials, recycled components to carpet and rubber flooring, on site storm-water detention and treatment, smartbuilding controls and passive design features
including deep eaves, high R-value insulation and performance glass.
The project was very much a team effort; not just the Kane project team, but with proactive support by the designers and subcontractors.
