Kane Constructions has been awarded the $19 million Design and Construct contract to enhance Global Switch Australia’s data centre campus in Ultimo.
This critical project involves the installation of a new 33kV/11kV transformer and five UPS modules units, along with associated works.
Spanning over 31,000m² of gross floor area, the upgrade will encompass technical spaces, mechanical and electrical plant areas and technology support zones. Designed for the emerging high density market including the latest liquid cooling technologies, the facility will be capable of scaling to meet Global Switch Australia’s future customer needs while maintaining a modular structure to optimise initial construction costs.
The project is on track for Practical Completion by mid-2025, positioning the facility to support Global Switch Australia’s expanding operations.
