Kane Constructions were engaged to complete the refurbishment to the Conservatorium of Music Foyer for Griffith University whilst completing other projects within the building.
The client design was value engineered to fit within a tight budget, but not detract from the design intent.
The works included construction of a new feature column screen with custom made signage down the length of the foyer, together with addition of a new integrated bar area for events and functions held within the space.
Works were completed during the University’s summer holiday period, with a strict completion date before the start of the new semester. This date was achieved, even with a full two week shutdown due to the January 2011 floods which affected the building.
