Kane Constructions, in partnership with Inner West Council, AFL NSW/ACT, RP Infrastructure are transforming Henson Park into a state-of-the-art sporting and community facility. This upgrade will establish Henson Park as the new home ground for the Sydney Swans & GWS Giants AFLW women's teams.
The scope of the project includes:
- Upgrading and extending the King George V Memorial Grandstand including change rooms, amenities, medical and umpiring facilities as well as spectator facilities and disability access.
- Associated external paving and landscaping around the new/refurbished facilities.
This transformation aims to make Henson Park a central venue for sporting and community events, providing a boost to the Inner West community by fostering local pride and engagement.
The project is due for completion in 2025.
