In November 2016 Kane was awarded the $3M Lump Sum contract to deliver stage one of the La Trobe University David Myers Refurbishment. The works consist of a full strip out of the floor and fit out works including new services.
Package one of the David Myers Building Refurbishment Stage one project has been completed to accommodate approximately 60 staff of La Trobe University Research Portfolio.
The space includes new work spaces, meeting and breakout rooms, a new accessible toilet and the refurbishment of two existing toilets, reception, and kitchen.
The scope of works comprised of a full demolition of the existing fit out, including identified hazardous materials and existing services, and new fit out of the space.
The completed works are an exemplar open plan office space for the University's Research Portfolio, and has become the benchmark for future fit outs of this type.
Stage one achieved Practical Completion in the second quarter of 2017.
