In early 2018, Kane was awarded the major expansion of the Liverpool Catholic Club to construct a new two level extension to the south-western corner of the existing club consisting of a fast food lounge, brasserie, café, pizza offerings, bars, children’s play area (with equipment manufactured in Germany), dining areas, cinema with 273 seats, kitchen including cold rooms, freezers and store rooms, bakery, open rooftop plant area, back of house and loading dock.
Following completion of the new extension and receipt of an occupation certificate, the existing bistro/lounge area, temporary BOH stores, Staff Room, existing Porte Cochere to functions entry and air lock were demolished and refurbished to accommodate the new Brasserie, FOH bars and dining areas.
Bulk earthworks were completed externally to accommodate the flood water catchment storage and overland flow, vehicular access modifications to accommodate changed traffic flows, car parking, civil works, hard and soft landscaping.
The project was completed in two stages with all works undertaken whilst the facility remained operational.
The $38 million project was completed in May 2020.
