Kane Constructions was engaged to undertake this $4m project on a fixed price lump sum contract in late 2007.
Works involved conversion of the former engineering school into a new medical school incorporating administration offices, lecture and tutorial rooms, simulated hospital rooms and student areas, at the Monash University Churchill Campus in Gippsland.
The project was completed during the university year in preparation for the new intake at the start of the following teaching year. Construction was staged as the building remained occupied.
