In late 2023, Kane Constructions was engaged by the Department of Education to refurbish and extend the multipurpose hall at Nerang State High School on the Gold Coast.

The project involves relocating the performing stage from the building's "long" edge to the newly extended "short" end. Additionally, the opposite end will be expanded to include a new canteen, amenities, a bio-box, and other essential back-of-house functions.

External improvements encompass relocating existing stormwater and sewer lines and constructing terrace seating that serves as both landscape elements and functional educational spaces.

The design incorporates natural light and a fresh atmosphere, featuring inviting archways at the entrances.
