In 2015, Kane Constructions was awarded the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract to design and construct multiple NSW Paramedic Response Centres to facilitate the improved delivery of paramedic services.
Following a successful ECI period, Kane was then appointed in 2016 the design and construct contract to deliver six new centres consisting of a standard design tailored to site-specific conditions, accommodating paramedic response units ranging from 10 to 20 vehicles under one roof.
The buildings typically consist of a suitable hardstand area, steel-framed building structure, nominated façade cladding and dedicated office space.
Conceived to better align NSW paramedics and vehicles to meet patient activity and demand, the super-stations are designed to ensure treatment is received for patients at the right time, in the right way, in a space specifically designed for movement efficiency and user practicality.
The following ambulance centres were delivered, improving the delivery of ambulance services:
- Paramedic Response Centre – Artarmon
- Paramedic Response Centre – Kogarah
- Paramedic Response Centre – Caringbah
- Paramedic Response Centre – Haberfield
- Paramedic Response Centre – Randwick
- Paramedic Response Centre – Mona Vale
Kane has delivered all six new ambulance stations and all facilities are open and operational.
