The $2.5m project for the Queensland Ambulance Service commenced in April 2009.
The project comprised of the relocation and complete refurbishment of the existing heritage building located on site. The ‘Old Police Station’, as it was known by the locals, was converted into a modern, state of the art, Queensland Ambulance Service facility.
The upper floor of the existing dwelling was refurbishment and further offices and common areas were built in underneath. A corridor extends from the rear of the ground floor through to a large steel framed shed capable of housing 10 ambulances.
The station has been operational since June 2010.
