Kane Constructions have completed the refurbishment and extension of the heritage listed QCH Foundation Building on the corner of Vulture and Stanley Streets in South Brisbane.
Previously known as the Bank of New South Wales Building, the existing building structure was stabilised and the building fabric restored in accordance with established heritage principles to create a new head office for the charitable arm of the QLD Children’s Hospital.
Having completed numerous heritage restorations projects in Brisbane (including Old Government House, Stage 1 of the BCH Project, QR Roma St Station, etc), Kane staff are aware of, and well trained in, the principles of the Burra Charter as they apply to heritage building projects.
Along with the work done by Kane’s skilled workers and selected local subcontractors, this iconic building will continue to be enjoyed by the residents of Brisbane into the future.
