Kane Constructions successfully delivered the St Vincent's Private Hospital Fitzroy Early Works project under a Construction Management contract.
The St Vincent’s Private Hospital Stage 1 Early Works involved the complete demolition of three buildings located at 71 & 75 Victoria Parade, and 5 Brunswick Street. The project scope included heritage façade retention and two levels of basement retention works. These buildings shared a common site with the heritage-listed East Hill Hotel.
The early works were carried out in preparation for the state-of-the-art $183 million main works transformation. Stages 1 and 2 of the main works project included the construction of a new 12-storey building with a connecting link bridge to the existing hospital. The project also encompassed major refurbishments across eight levels of the existing hospital, along with heritage restoration works on the East Hill Hotel and Edensor House.
The early works package reached Practical Completion in December 2022.
