In 2018, Kane ACT was awarded the $36 million Design and Construct Stromlo Leisure Centre project. The leisure centre provides a health and fitness facility for the region of Stromlo, Canberra and the wider community.
Project works included:
- Eight lane 50 metre lap swimming pool
- Twenty metre program/warm water multipurpose pool,
- Exercise and rehabilitation area
- Front out house, amenities
- Plant/store rooms
- Circulation areas
- Splash park
- Gymnasium
The new state of the art facility currently has the longest spanning Glulam timber beams in the southern hemisphere and will provide a connection between the building and the natural landscape of the Stromlo Forrest Park.
The project reached Practical Completion in June 2020.
