Construction of a new 22,000m2 state-of-the-art research and learning centre.
The facility is home to resources such as the Brain Sciences Institute, Advanced Molecular and Proteomics Facility and a Strong Structures Laboratory - the only one of its kind in Australia. The building also contains a PC3 laboratory.
The building has been designed with significant sustainable features and has achieved a 5-star Green Star Education rating with the Green Building Council of Australia.
A flagship development for Swinburne University, the Advanced Technology Centre comprises two 12-level towers and two four level buildings clad with white precast panels.
The $76 million fixed price lump sum contract was awarded to Kane Constructions following a competitive tender.
The Project reached Practical Completion in January 2011. Watch the video here.
