Kane Constructions secured a lump sum contract with Synnex Australia to deliver a $34 million fully automated logistics centre in Western Sydney.
The 15,000m2 facility for Synnex Australia represents the new benchmark for state of the art package handling and sorting automation, capable of handling in excess of 10,000+ items in and outbound from the warehouse per day.
Technology and communications throughout the facility have been designed for the special purpose needs for the high quantity of transactions, as Synnex employee upwards of 100 staff inclusive of an in-house Call Centre that manage National distribution and imported goods.
Kane have been integral in the coordination and management of the International Racking and Handling systems contractors, whilst ensuring that the overseas equipment meet the minimum Australian Standards and Code Compliance requirements enabling certification.
The building was constructed to high tolerances to meet the special needs of the 30m high racking systems and conveyor systems and extensive services installations to meet the facilities requirements and has a standard of finish fit for a high quality commercial fit-out.
