Designed by Tanner Kibble Denton and completed in 2000, this elevated structural timber framed building sits on a natural rock shelf adjacent to Tamarama beach.
The vehicle access was tight and tricky, the tides controlled deliveries, the public were watching ever move, yet the Kane project team was proactive in technical, logistical, interface and programme solving problems encountered in an old, poorly maintained building.
The team developed systems to ensure a high level of quality and regular recording of completed works to ensure value for money and the reduced long-term maintenance of the building.
On the same small stretch of beach is the Tamarama Kiosk & Services Building
