Kane Constructions was awarded the Construction Management Contract to deliver the University of Melbourne School of Engineering Parkville Refurbishment in January 2018.
The project scope consisted of fit-out works to both wet and dry labs across four separate buildings for the School of Engineering, Parkville Campus and also the new fit-out works of the old engineering building.
The project was delivered over five stages to accommodate decanting and relocation. Works involved the construction of one PC2 wet lab, refurbishment of two dry PC labs, and new interaction teaching labs for the Microsoft Research Centre requiring extensive AV and services upgrades. The PC2 labs were designed and delivered to meet PC2 requirements. Works also included new dean and executive staff offices.
The works were delivered across three stages and reached Practical Completion in May 2019.
